PORTLAND, Ore. (Friday, Aug. 23, 2024) – Scott McLaughlin continued his strong recent form by leading practice Friday for the BITNILE.COM Grand Prix of Portland at Portland International Raceway, but there still was one problem.
So did Alex Palou.

The final road course event of the 2024 NTT INDYCAR SERIES season lands this weekend at Portland International Raceway. Chip Ganassi Racing driver Alex Palou has won two of the last three BITNILE.COM Grand Prix of Portland events with Scott McLaughlin scoring the 2022 victory for Team Penske at PIR.
In addition, Team Penske and Chip Ganassi Racing have combined to win four of the five natural road course events this season. Pato O’Ward of Arrow McLaren is the only exception, victorious July 7 at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course.
Can anyone emerge as contenders to top these teams in Sunday’s 110-lap race (3 p.m. ET, USA Network, Peacock, INDYCAR Radio Network)?

(Aug. 21, 2024) – Alex Palou is chasing history and another NTT INDYCAR SERIES championship as the series heads to Portland International Raceway (PIR) this weekend, Aug. 23-25, for the BITNILE.COM Grand Prix of Portland. The Chip Ganassi Racing driver aims to win at PIR for second consecutive year and become the third ever three-time Portland INDYCAR winner, joining Al Unser Jr. and Michael Andretti, at the 30th running of the event on Sunday at 12:30 p.m. PT.
PALMETTO, Fla. – The 2024 USF Pro Championships Presented by Continental Tire season will culminate this weekend with the Continental Tire Grand Prix of Portland. The 1.964-mile, 12-turn Portland International Raceway road course will play host to the final rounds for all three series – USF Juniors, USF2000 and USF Pro 2000.

The 2024 BITNILE.COM Grand Prix of Portland will reach multiple historic markers at Portland International Raceway (PIR), Aug. 23-25. The three-day race weekend will be the 30th professional open-wheel race between Championship Auto Racing Teams (CART) from 1984-2003, then Champ Car World Series (Champ Car) from 2004-2007, and now an INDYCAR-sanctioned event at PIR. The event also marks 40 years since the inaugural Grand Prix of Portland won by Al Unser Jr. in 1984. As the 2024 race hits these significant milestones in 2024, it's the perfect time to look back at what has been a tremendous motorsport tradition in the Pacific Northwest over the past four decades.
TORONTO (Sunday, July 21, 2024) – Michael Andretti’s raised right arm said it all following the Ontario Honda Dealers Indy Toronto at Exhibition Place, and the team owner could have raised two.
One for Colton Herta, another for Kyle Kirkwood.
The two drivers gave Andretti Global a win for the first time since last year’s rebranding and its first 1-2 finish in a race since Kirkwood and Romain Grosjean delivered in 2023 at Long Beach.
